Dr. Jaishree Ellis is a Board-Certified Obstetrician Gynecologist with 24 years of experience.

She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of Pennsylvania, and her Medical Degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago.  She completed her internship and residency at the Harlem Hospital Center of the Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons, and since then has served women of all demographics.  

Throughout her career she has further served women through a ministry of public speaking at schools, colleges, libraries, and churches. She has also worked as a medical correspondent at KLTV, an ABC news affiliate in East Texas.

In 2018, she completed disability advocacy training through the Texas Partners in Policymaking Program, and then founded the Greater Houston Disability Chamber of Commerce.  She continues to practice Obstetrics and Gynecology and in 2021, joined the Coastal Bend Women's Center in Corpus Christi. In 2023, she served as the Department Chairperson and Maternal Medical Director of the Women's Services Department at Corpus Christi Medical Center, and she incorporates the idea of inclusion in all of the work that she does.

She is a loving mother of three, and her volunteerism on their behalf has allowed her the privilege of holding multiple leadership roles in Girl Scouts of the USA, Boy Scouts of America and Jack and Jill of America, both regionally and nationally.

She is also a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and is active in her home chapter of Delta Gamma Omega.

Her favorite activities include scrapbooking and genealogy, and she remains committed to the advancement of women, people of color and those who have disabilities.
